Tuition and Fees
All academic classes for the 2008 academic year are scheduled to be taught at the HCC facility, Hangar 111, Kalaeloa Airport in Kapolei. A map to the Hangar 111 facility is located at http://www.pacificaerospace.org/Kalaeloa_Map.pdf. HCC tuition and campus based fees are listed here: http://honolulu.hawaii.edu/tuition/. All tuition and fees are the responsibility of the student.
AVIT program is an expensive investment into a potentially lucrative career. AVIT courses with flight labs include cost associated with flying called flight fees. Flight fees are not included in tuition or campus bases fees. Flight fees are determined on a hourly basis for each type of aircraft and flight instruction, and are in addition to tuition, fees and any other incidental expenses which are normally charged during registration. All flight fees are the responsibility of the student.
Students enrolling in flight courses are required to deposit funds into their flight account on a regular basis to cover their flight training costs. Deposits should be in a least $500 increments. Students will not be permitted to fly if their flight account minimum balance drops below $300 for the single engine aircraft course and $500 for the multi-engine aircraft course. Students are encouraged to have a reliable source of income prior to enrolling in any flight training-related curriculum. If a student is not financially able to sustain the flight requirements, students are encouraged to seek financial aid or should reconsider enrolling in the program until financing is available. It may be necessary to adjust prices due to fluctuation in fuel costs.
