ABRP 70 - Paint Blending Techniques
- Prerequisite: ABRP 69
- ABRP majors only
This course will introduce students to the different techniques and various top coats used for refinishing with emphasis on panel blending.
Contact: 90 hours total. 6 hours lecture; 18 hours lab per week over 3.75 weeks
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of ABRP 70, the student will be able to:
- Describe the theory of blending
- Identify vehicle locations that are desirable for blending
- Describe the preparation steps of refinish area that will be blended
- Demonstrate masking techniques used during spot repairs & blending
- Describe how to set up a blend repair
- Demonstrate blending procedures for different types of finishes
