Garmin G1000 All-Glass Avionics Suite

Integrated Cockpit - All aircraft are Garmin G1000 equipped with an all-glass avionics suite for your training. The G1000 replaces traditional mechanical gyroscopic (round dial) flight instruments. G1000 puts a wealth of flight-critical data at your fingertips. Its glass cockpit presents flight instrumentation, navigation, weather, terrain, traffic and engine data on large-format, high-resolution displays. It is a seamless integrated package that makes flight information easier to scan and process. G1000's revolutionary design brings new levels of situational awareness, simplicity and safety to the cockpit.

G1000 seamlessly integrates built-in terrain and navigation databases, providing a clear, concise picture of where you are and where you’re heading. A Jeppesen® database supports onscreen navigation, communication and mapping functions uses information from the built-in terrain and U.S. obstacles databases, G1000 displays color coding to graphically alert you when proximity conflicts loom ahead.

The G1000 system aboard the Diamond aircraft boasts two 10.4-inch, high-definition LCDs. These active-matrix displays feature XGA resolution (1,024x768-pixel count) and are capable of presenting data in brilliant, sunlight-readable color.

The primary flight display (PFD) replaces traditional cockpit instruments and digitally integrates flight information on a single, large-format display for easier interpretation by the pilot. The PFD interfaces with Garmin’s innovative Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS), which provides accurate, digital output and referencing of your aircraft position, rate, vector and acceleration data and can self-align while the aircraft is in flight.

All Diamond DA40 Aircraft are equipped with Garmin GFC700 Autoflight Control Systems. This system is an advanced autopilot compared to other autopilots found in General Aviation aircraft, it is capable of maintaining heading, altitude, navigation course, speed, as well as being able to conduct a full instrument approach.

Both Piper Arrow and Piper Seminole are quipped with Daul Garmin GNS 430 GPS units, and are TIS (Traffic Information System) equipped. The Seminole is equipped with an STEC 55X Autopilot.

The multifunction display (MFD) puts all aircraft-systems monitoring and flight-planning functions at the pilot’s fingertips. The MFD paints a composite view of the aircraft’s environment, enhancing situational awareness and providing the pilot with all necessary information to make safe decisions during each phase of flight. Engine performance and situational data such as location, terrain, traffic, weather and airport information are all digitally depicted and can be easily interpreted at a glance on the large-format display.

Safety Feature - The integrated design and reversionary capabilities of the G1000 allow all flight-critical data to transfer seamlessly to a single display — in the unlikely event of a display failure — for added safety and peace of mind during flight.
