CA 131 - Art Preparation II

  • CA majors only

Art Preparation II focuses on preparing art work for printing using graphics generating programs in combination with applicable hardware. Emphasis on digital photographic imaging. Skill development to include color correction, manipulation and basic editing.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of CA 131, the student will be able to:

  • Describe the application of digital photography in electronic imaging.
  • Use a photo manipulation program to perform the following processes at a basic level:
    • color correction
    • image manipulation
    • editing
    • retouching
  • Apply the concept of color separation.
  • Apply the concept of compression.
  • Apply the concept of calibration for a desktop scanner.
  • Produce full color scans.
