CA 147 - Studio Photography
Course Description
- Prerequisite: CA 134
- CA majors only
Introduction to cameras, meters, lighting, materials, etc. used in studio photography. Adjustable camera capable of being used manually and a light meter required. Lab fee.
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of CA 147, the student will be able to:
- Discuss the basic history and purposes of studio photography.
- Use vocabulary specific to the field.
- Describe how to set up a photography studio for small product, fashion, or portrait work.
- Discuss current photographic business practices.
- Interpret copyright and other laws that apply to the industry.
- Discuss basic commercial studio business practices and ethics.
- Assemble a portfolio that demonstrates competency in studio photography.
