EIMT 30 - Electrical Installation Theory I

  • Prerequisite: ENG 20B & C & D & E OR "C" or higher in ESL 11 & 13 & 14 & 17 OR placement in ENG 22/60; MATH 20B & C & D OR placement in MATH 53
  • Corequisite: EIMT 32
  • EIMT majors only

This course is designed to develop knowledge of basic and advanced residential wiring with emphasis on the National Electrical Code and the principles of residential blueprint reading.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of EIMT 30, the student will be able to:

  • Design and calculate the electrical requirements for a specific residential building with emphasis on the National Electrical Code and principles of residential blueprint reading
