EIMT 32 - Electrical Installation I

Course Description

  • Prerequisite: ENG 20B & C & D & E OR "C" or higher in ESL 11 & 13 & 14 & 17 OR placement in ENG 22/60; MATH 20B & C & D OR placement in MATH 53
  • Corequisite: EIMT 30
  • EIMT majors only

This course is designed to provide the basic and advanced knowledge in residential wiring techniques. Laboratory exercises are designed to give students practical experience in different wiring techniques.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of EIMT 32, the student will be able to:

  • Design, calculate, troubleshoot, and install various types of branch circuits within a specific dwelling with emphasis on the National Electrical Code and principles of residential blueprint reading
