EIMT 42 - Electrical Installation II

Course Description

  • Prerequisite: "C" in EIMT 50 and in EIMT 52
  • Corequisite: EIMT 40
  • EIMT majors only

A course designed to advance the student to a higher level of electrical installation skills. This course will take students into more complex commercial and industrial wiring techniques.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of EIMT 42, the student will be able to:

  • Design, calculate, troubleshoot, and using various types of cable and raceway systems, install various types of lighting, motor, and transformer branch circuits within a specific commercial building with emphasis on the National Electrical Code and principles of commercial blueprint reading
