FT 36 - Draping

  • Prerequisite: FT 205 & 215 & 217

Basic fundamentals of draping with standard and individual forms.

Contact: 2 hours lecture; 3 hours lab per week

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of FT 36, the student will be able to:

  • Drape the following garment designs using a dress form:
    • basic bodices
    • basic skirts
    • kimono sleeves
    • basic collars
    • cowl necklines
    • basic shifts
  • Creatively drape original designs.
  • Produce accurate patterns from draped designs.
