FAMR 230 - Human Development
Course Description
- Prerequisite: ENG 22/60 OR placement in ENG 100
Concepts, issues, and theories of human growth and of development from conception to death and a systems approach to inquiry into factors affecting growth and development.
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of FAMR 230, the student will be able to:
- Define terms and concepts relevant to the field.
- Discuss principles and theories in the field.
- Identify current issues.
- Describe physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial development during each stage of the life cycle.
- Compare and contrast human development among various cultures.
- Apply theoretical and practical approaches to the study of human beings through the life cycle.
- Describe factors influencing one's own development.
