OESM 210 - Safety Program Management
Course Description
- Prerequisite: OESM 101
- Recommended Prep: OESM 102
This course will acquaint students with the
fundamentals of management and their application
to safety program development and organization.
Emphasis will be given to the concepts of
responsibility, accountability and authority as applied
to occupational safety and health. Required for OESM
majors.
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to be able to:
- Develop a written safety program for a specific workplace
- Apply the HIOSH four-point workplace program
- Incorporate assigned HIOSH standards into the written safety program
- Conduct a presentation on the content of the written safety program
- Summarize assigned topics related to HIOSH standards
- Conduct presentations on specific topics as assigned
